What We Do?
Lightwater Scouts offers a unique combination of the great outdoors, adventure and fun to young people. There are a number of sections you can join, depending on your age.
Scouting enables people to experience the outdoors; interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Why Get Involved?
It’s fun! Every year 460,000 young people in the UK enjoy new adventures as a part of Scouting.
The activities teach essential life skills such as leadership, independence, initiative and resilience. It’s an opportunity to try new things and make lifelong friends. Come join the fun!

Coronation celebrations
To celebrate the King’s Coronation, our scouts supported the Lightwater music festival with great singers and an amazing band alongside a variety of food and craft stalls, a large bar, and “bouncy” fun.

Scout Wintercamp – Cheddar 23
Forty four of us stayed at Cheddar YHA for the weekend, enjoying the stunning views both above and below ground.
Volunteers and Fundraising
We believe every young person deserves the chance to push themselves, to develop and grow, to be woken in their tent to the sound of a bustling camp preparing breakfast and to experience life-changing opportunities. If you do too, perhaps you would like to get involved?
