A team from each of our Cub packs undertook a District night hike challenge, managing to solve the activities at a number of base camps. Morse code, animal tracks and eating some crazy bugs were all part of the fun.
Our Cubs have been busy camping at Walton Firs – crate Stacking, climbing, obstacle course, archery, night hike and campfires made up just some of the weekend. Scouting at its best…and muddiest! : )
It’s sooo good to be back face to face! Although online meetings have been lots of fun, there have been certain well loved adventures that have been simply impossible to replicate. We’ve been busy making up for this by spending our entire time outdoors. Of course this term has meant lots of new rules and challenges to face, but our Scouts have been truly amazing in adapting and supporting each other. Lots of firsts over the last year… First online investitures, first virtual camp, first ever ‘great indoors’ badges awarded…. crazy times and we are proud of them all!
No Scout Post this year – but we hope to be back making your deliveries next year. We wish you a happy Christmas and a more adventurous 2021.
