Wow! Ten of our cubs all got the top award in their section recently – silver. We’ve also had many beavers gain their bronze award and a number of scouts receive their gold award. Well done all!
A hot July, but Father Christmas still came to visit us this camp! Complete with chimney, tree, xmas dinner and even stockings. A fun filled weekend in the New Forest where amongst other things we crate stacked, climbed, shot arrows, camouflaged ourselves, raced go karts, ran obstacle courses, went on a night hike and had a great campfire.
What a brilliantly wet camp and this time it was nothing to do with the weather! Under the glorious sunshine our Cubs built rafts, canoed, went on paddle boards and other craft. Pitching tents and an amazing campfire made the weekend a great success. If you’ve never heard of the ‘moose, alpaca’ song then best you ask our Cubs and join all of us who grin every time we think of it.
Waingunga Cubs had a fantastic time at SCRAM, which is the Surrey Scouts triennial county activity day for Cubs. They joined over 2000 Cubs and their leaders for a day of amazing activities and fun. Each pack offers an activity and ours definatley made some faces squirm!
